I guide professionally on lake Ontario for salmonids for 12 years.
My home ports are Ste-Catherines in April-May and Port Hope from June till August.

I have the privilege to be able to earn my life with fishing as my favorite sport! I am a professional fisherman and a full-time fishing guide. I am also a regular columnist for the magazine Aventure Chasse et Pêche for the past several years. I also make radio chronicles and I participate occasionally in television sporting events.
Since 2007, I have marketed one DVD on fishing techniques which are sold in several fishing shop almost everywhere in the province.
On the competitive scene, I participate every year in some fishing tournaments without making it however the center of my activities. In tournament, I took away eight victories and I was in the TOP-5 four other occasions.

I am part of Thomas Marine fishing team for a 2nd season.

From the age of nine, I crossed regularly half of the city to go fishing in the rivière des Prairies.
This river was a true treasure for me, because it was easily accessible besides offering a exceptional quality of fishing.
In my adolescence, I was able to investigate new plans of water thanks to my father. He had the kindness to lend me his car while he, went to the work by bus! In my early twenties, I was lucky to cross the road of other passionate persons. These people definitely curve my learning and the beautiful catch abounded.
I like being on the water, being in touch with nature and naturally, spending good moments with the family and the friends. In time, my craze for fishing was only increasing. With more than thirty years of experience in the field of fishing sports, I accumulated a robust knowledge base. Several years ago, I was happy to join the Group Thomas Marine team. I know this company very well because it is in this place that I acquired my very first Princecraft boat. I'm Christian Robert, professional fishing guide.
I fish several lakes since my childhood, however I spent the last 10 years specializing myself in the St. Lawrence River, Lake Memphremagog and Lake St-Jean.
If you're wondering what I do with my free time, I can give only one answer: fishing, fishing and still fishing! My guiding season begins in late April on Lake Memphremagog and ends on the St. Lawrence River at the end of November. However, I start fishing for my personal pleasure in the United States at the end of March and I extend my fall season until December while fishing on the St. Lawrence River. These 10 months of fishing each year allow me to gain experience and constantly improve my techniques.
I also participate in the shooting of three television shows for Vacances Nature.
In 2010, it's a great pleasure for me to join Group Thomas Marine fishing team.

Adepte de pêche depuis plus de 38 ans, cette passion m’a conduit à m’investir dans une multitude d’activités : élaboration d’une série télévisée portant sur la pêche, animation de séminaires partout dans la province, rédaction pour des revues spécialisées, participation à des tournois professionnels et représentation pour diverses compagnies œuvrant en pêche sportive. Autant d’activités, autant de belles rencontres ; la pêche est vraiment une mine de richesses humaines et environnementales.
Au fil de toutes ces années, j’ai pu apprécier les apports remarquables faits dans le domaine de la pêche sportive : nouveaux leurres, cannes et moulinets, évolution des techniques de pêche, performance améliorée des moteurs et des embarcations. Désormais, on parle de la pêche en termes de qualité, de performance, d’aspects environnementaux, de compétitivité des prix et d’accessibilité pour tous. Toutefois, une chose demeure : les moments de pur bonheur procurés par une sortie de plaisance ou de pêche en famille ou entre amis. Pour moi, ces moments privilégiés représentent une source essentielle d’énergie me permettant d’affronter les défis de mon travail et le stress de la vie moderne. Ainsi, pendant la saison froide, je ne songe qu’au premier matin de printemps où je repartirai à bord de mon embarcation en quête de nouvelles expériences, d’anecdotes et de paysages fabuleux. Je souhaite à chacun de vous de pouvoir vivre tous ces moments de bonheur, de découvertes et de communion avec la nature.
